outside of regular work hours should be pre-arranged.
After hour emergencies are handled by the Shift Supervisor in the
computer room
The
work Production control does to support clients is time and detail
intensive. Two of the three
key parts of the work performed involve communication, usually through
e-mail:
·
Receiving work
·
Performing/checking
work
·
Responding back
that the work is complete or that more information is needed to complete
the work
To
get the benefits of e-mail, here are some steps we ask everyone follow to
make sure the right information reaches the right people at the right
time.
1)
Send all requests
to the e-mail list:
BIT DC-PROD.CNTRL.SERV.REQUEST
(Requests will still be accepted through inter-office mail or US
mail)
2)
Send all e-mail
requests with a ‘read receipt’ requested so that you receive a confirmation when the e-mail is opened.
3)
Make a note to
yourself to call or send another e-mail if you do not receive a confirmation that the work was completed in the time
frame required.
4)
Send requests for
work with as much lead time as possible so minor issues do
not lead to serious results.
For
assistance, review the appropriate procedures in this document and send a
request for service to BIT Data Center Services as noted above.
