  • Rules and regulations are essential to any well managed organization. Standards are valuable to our clients because of the cost savings, faster support and reliable technology infrastructure. They serve to establish uniform practices and common techniques used as guidelines to measure performance.

    For example, with one standard email system, a small number of administrators can maintain a system supporting all of state government. If the state had two email systems, the number of administrators and support staff would double with no corresponding benefit in functionality. The same principle applies to system designs, writing programs and setting up operations in a data processing center. All of which require certain individual skills, standard policies, procedures and equipment.

Standards List: User Hardware
High End Docking Portable Notebook Minimum Specifications:
  • System is compatible with all additional hardware and software standards.
  • System comes with an integrated 10/100/1000 CAT 5 port.
  • System comes with an 802.11 a/b/g/n integrated network adapter.
  • System is compatible with Windows 10 Enterprise.
  • System includes a warranty period of three (3) years parts and labor.
  • System memory must be configured with 16GB and be expandable to 32GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM.
  • System has a minimum of an Intel i7-10810U quad core processor.
  • System must have 12MB minimum secondary cache.
  • System is FCC Class B, UL, and CSA certified.
  • System unit must have EPEAT silver level certification or better.
  • System has low battery warning.
  • Unit dimensions are no greater than 15" x 10" x 1" and the weight is no greater than 4.25 lbs with battery pack and all components listed within these specifications. Docking station is excluded and has its own specifications.
  • Notebook is equipped with 16 bit WAV and MIDI audio and includes integrated speakers.
  • Hard disk drive has a formatted storage capacity of at least 512GB. Drive must be a Solid State Drive.
  • System is equipped with an attached LED FHD color screen.
  • System supports a discrete video card configution.
  • System is capable of supporting an external monitor with resolutions of 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024, 1600 x 1200, and 1920 x 1200.
  • System must have an LCD/external button that allows the user to switch between LCD, external, or run both simultaneously.
  • System screen has a diagonal measurement of at least 15.6".
  • System is equipped with a VGA or HDMI monitor adapter port to allow connection to an external monitor.

  • System is equipped with a Lithium Ion battery.
  • System includes AC power cord, battery charger (where applicable).

Notebook Desirable Specifications:
  • Manufacturer has toll free Tech Support, Internet access, and E-mail support.
  • Unit has buttons for volume control and mute.
Docking Station Desirable Specifications:
  • Docking station must allow the user to hook up to the following external devices at the same time: 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, and network.
  • Docking station must allow for hot, warm, and cold docking.
  • Docking station must come with a minimum warranty of three (3) years.
  • Docking station must have a power button capable of powering up the system and dock.
  • Docking station must have at least one (1) Kensington lock slot.
  • Docking station must have at least the following ports: Four (4) USB 3.0 ports, two (2) video output ports, one (1) CAT5 network port and audio jacks.
  • Docking station must charge the battery in the notebook when docked.
Docking Station Desirable Specifications:
  • Docking station has a notebook docked indicator.
  • Docking station has IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port(s).
  • Docking station has an HDMI port.
  • Docking station has a USB-C port.
